Anna and I took off mid-afternoon yesterday to hike a couple loops around Martis Creek. We did the 1.6 mile loop first, but we were feeling good and the weather was nice, so we did the 4-mile loops as well. Our dog Tenuki did not object of course.
Even though it was the middle of a Wednesday, we passed a good number of people (and dogs) on the trail. We also saw a coyote at one point, which Tenuki tried to run off and play with the animal, as she is wont to do. Luckily, we lured her back to us with a bit of jerky.
The trails are still a little mucky and snowy, but in another week or so, all of that will be gone. These trails are a fun walk, just a few minutes drive from our house, and I presume we'll go back. I wish there was less civilization visible from the trails, but they are nice anyways.
Since we don't have any tracks on the map for these, I'll have to collect some.
